A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION ARTIST
As a Production Artist, you will be responsible for taking customer art and editing it to make it press friendly. You will make adjustments as needed to font / copy to meet press minimums and adjust artwork to meet press specs for bleeds and traps. You may need to recreate logos, layouts, barcodes, and QR codes. You will work primarily in Adobe Illustrator with Esko plug-ins and use Adobe Photoshop for image editing. Every job we do is custom, and you'll learn new things and see a variety of customers.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR PRODUCTION ARTIST
- Related college degree or 4 years equivalent experience
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Knowledge and / or experience in Esko preferred
- Experience in workflow software such as Esko preferred
- Ability to apply basic math skills
WORK SCHEDULE FOR PRODUCTION ARTIST
This position will work 1st shift , typically from 8am to 4pm.
