Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, mechanical and machine repairs, building maintenance, and support specific projects.
This role ensures the maintenance and repair of production equipment, support equipment, and facility grounds.
Responsibilities :
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, and electrical systems.
Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines to repair or fabricate parts.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production and facility equipment to optimize efficiency.
Identify and address problems, implementing solutions to improve productivity.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area, ensuring a safe work environment.
Utilize maintenance systems to document and track daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
Safely operate material handling equipment.
Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs and plant initiatives.
Participate in safety observations and uphold SQF 2000 Systems standards.
Comply with Kroger Manufacturing's Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2–4 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
Proficiency in welding, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated with excellent planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with chemical exposure.
Physical Requirements :
Regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, reach, and push / pull.
Lift / move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Work in varying temperatures, noisy environments, and confined spaces.
Must be able to climb ladders, crawl, and perform tasks in awkward positions.
