We are a team of experienced Engineers and Construction professionals providing inspection of residential buildings, community centers, subdivisions, mid and high-rise buildings, commercial and industrial facilities throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with architectural and/or construction experience to join our team as a Construction Inspector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction codes and standards, the ability to identify and correct construction defects, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting construction projects to ensure that they are built according to plans and specifications. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Monitor the quality of construction work
- Approve or reject construction materials and workmanship
- Investigate and resolve construction problems
- Prepare reports and documentation
- Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors and supervisors regarding specifications and qualifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in construction, engineering and/or architecture in New Jersey and Pennsylvania
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management
- Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic data
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak laterally
- Self-starter who can work independently and with team members
