Primary Purpose of this Job

ATI Specialty Materials, an Allegheny Technologies Company, is a recognized world leader in the production of specialty alloys including titanium, nickel and specialty steel for the aerospace, biomedical, oil & gas, chemical processing and nuclear industries. We are seeking qualified candidates for the following position in Monroe, NC: Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Level III Engineer

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

• Direct mill support
• Training, certification and performance reviews of NDT personnel
• Order planning
• Support to other departments, primarily Certification and Product Engineering groups.
• Test results approval
• NDT specification review.
• NDT procedure development
• Direct customer support
• Perform external and internal audits
• Development of new technologies
• Interaction with industry groups

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field, or four years of equivalent experience
• 1 year of experience in Ultrasonic inspection
• ASNT UT Level II certification
• Able to attain ASNT UT Level III certification within 1 year of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience In Eddy Current inspection
