Full job description
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate aluminum frames, doors, panels, and storefront/curtain wall components.
- Operate saws, punches, drill presses, and routing tools with precision.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, cut sheets, and technical layouts.
- Prepare and package fabricated systems for delivery to field installation crews.
- Maintain high quality control standards in alignment with DGS procedures and specs.
- Assist with inventory and organization of the fabrication shop.
- Communicate with project managers to clarify fabrication details as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of aluminum fabrication or glazing shop experience.
- Ability to accurately read and work from shop drawings and cut sheets.
- Proficiency with fabrication tools and equipment (saws, routers, punches, etc.).
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Curtain wall or brake metal fabrication experience.
- Familiarity with CNC equipment or willingness to learn.
- Previous glazing field experience or exposure to field installation.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Valid chauffeur’s license or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
- OSHA 10 certification (or willing to complete upon hire).
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive shop tasks.
- Must pass pre-employment screening.
