SHIFT: 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm)

REPORTS TO: Quality Manager

DIRECT REPORTS: No Direct Reports

WAGE RANGE: $21/hr-$28/hr DOQ

About the Position

Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector is responsible for checking and inspecting incoming materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure conformance to company quality standards and customer specifications.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of molded plastic parts per the Quality Control Plan.
• Conduct visual inspections using VMM or Scope.
• Maintain inspection records following Good Documentation Practices.
• Follow Quality System documentation, including the Quality Manual, Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions.
• Complete special inspection requests as needed.
• Perform Receiving Inspection as needed.
• Ensure work output meets company quality standards and customer requirements.
• Other duties as required.

Minimum Experience Requirements

• Minimum of two years of inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Training or experience in reading blueprints.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, including:
• Scope, VMM, CMM
• Calipers, gages, micrometers, drop indicators
• Vision systems

Preferred Experience Requirements

• Working knowledge of ISO 13485 standards.
• Applied use of toolmaker or video scopes.
• Applied understanding of GD&T.

Required Skills

• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of:
• General office equipment (computers, calculators, telephones, copiers, etc.)
• General manufacturing and office procedures
