What are the responsibilities and job description for the Setup/Process Technician position at Dynamic Group Inc?
Primary Job Responsibilities for all technicians
- Sets-up production and sampling jobs.
- Starts-up production jobs.
- Some process troubleshooting.
- Mold cleaning and lubrication.
- Assists Maintenance Department when necessary.
- Helps with resin handling as needed.
- Simple mold core changes.
- Watches schedule in IQMS for changeovers and job completion.
- Removes and prepares proper documentation for the press.
- Cleans the press, removes debris and sweeps the floor.
- Removes the mold and tags it.
- Run complex molding jobs as required.
- Updates documentation as necessary.
- Performs duties in accordance to Quality System documentation, including the Quality Manual, Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and IQMS.
- Takes necessary steps to verify work output meets company quality standards and customer requirements for quality and on time delivery.
- Other duties as required.
Secondary Job Responsibilities
- Duties as required by Shift Supervisor or Production Supervisor
- Help with operator training as needed
Job Qualifications & Requirements
Training & Experience Minimum of one year experience in the injection molding industry, with knowledge of material handling and basic understanding of presses, molds and processing.
Skills & Knowledge Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Learn and be able to set-up plastic injection molding machines and related equipment.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Must be flexible and able to handle the demands and pressures of a fast-paced environment.
- Plastic injection molding and related equipment (presses, dryers, materials tester, water heater, etc.).
- Loaders.
- Grinders.
- General manufacturing and office procedures.
The employee is required to:
- Stand stationary for extended periods of time, move about, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, handle and feel.
- Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.
- Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force frequently.
- Exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally.
Visual Acuity As required, with or without accommodation, for reading written documents and computer screens.
Hearing Ability As required, with or without accommodation, for communicating with co-worker, and for listening to and troubleshooting machines and equipment.
Working Environment The employee is subject to:
- Normal manufacturing and office environments.
- Working with and around mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Fumes/odors.
