Job description
Dynamic Group Mgmt is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marriott Certified General Manager to lead our team at downtown Tampa's brand new Springhill Suites by Marriott. The General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the hotel's operations, including guest services, sales and marketing, financial management, food & beverage, and staff development. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in hotel management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth and ensure guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, including guest services, sales & marketing, food & beverage, housekeeping, inventory management, financial management, and team development.
- Develop and implement effective strategies and plans to achieve operational and financial goals
- Ensure that the hotel meets or exceeds brand standards for guest satisfaction, quality, and safety
- Hire, train, and manage staff members, ensuring that they are motivated, engaged, and delivering excellent service to guests
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, partners, and vendors
- Work closely with the Regional Director of Operations and other stakeholders to ensure that the hotel is meeting or exceeding performance metrics and targets
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to inform operational strategies and tactics
- Manage the budget and financial performance of the hotel, ensuring that revenue and profitability targets are met or exceeded
- Ensure that the hotel is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field
- Marriott Certified
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, with a track record of success in driving revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Marriott experience preferred. Opening hotel experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Fosse, MGS, & Empower GXP
- Knowledge of M3, Google Business Suite, & Quore
- Knowledge of the Tampa hospitality market
- Ability to achieve quality assurance standards
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
