Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. This role involves engaging with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, and providing support to families by ensuring their children receive high-quality care and education.
Duties
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Provide nurturing care to children, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with personal hygiene.
- Foster positive relationships with children by encouraging their interests and supporting their individual needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior management strategies, and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare practices.
- Manage behavior in a positive manner using effective behavior management techniques.
- Assist in preparing children for transitions between activities or settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, nannying, daycare settings, or similar roles is preferred.
- Experience working with children of various ages, particularly toddlers and preschoolers.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support children's emotional well-being.
- Ability to work effectively with children who have disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A caring attitude and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
