Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation to appointments or activities.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities or dementia care by implementing tailored care strategies.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health care, senior care, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and basic healthcare practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or hospice care is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings such as nursing homes or private residences.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
