Maintenance Worker/Janitorial

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
• Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and maintaining various types of flooring.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Dust surfaces, clean windows, and maintain overall cleanliness of the facility.
• Assist with custodial tasks such as vacuuming carpets and maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed or unsafe conditions.
• Occasionally assist with residential painting projects as needed.
• Serve as a porter by ensuring that all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is an advantage.
• Must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
