DIS is currently seeking an RN who will be responsible for assisting Veterans with veteran care. This will support a VA Hospital on-site in Augusta, GA. This person will possess a keen understanding of federal health agencies' policies, regulations, and structure. The ideal candidate will have a desire and ambition to provide the best-in-class service and support to all of our clients and DIS team members. Someone who possesses the ability to be diplomatic, accommodating, and adaptable to changing work environments and project scopes.

Job Responsibilities:

• The duties of an RN may vary depending on the work environment, but they generally include the following:

• Observe and record patient behavior
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
• Collect patient health history
• Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans
• Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for other treatment options
• Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate
• Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients
• Direct and supervise nurses, nurse assistants and nurse aides
• Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes

RN Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong patient assessment skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in oral communication, written communication, interpersonal relations, customer service, adaptability, and change management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing PC applications

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• ACNP or ENP
• Nursing License
• DEA
• NPI
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS

Physical

• Frequently required to sit and work at a desk/computer for extended periods of time of up to 8 hours a day.
• While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
• Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Cognitive

Salary is commensurate with experience.
