Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Position: Full-time (Flexible Schedule)
Overview: Dynamic Metal Innovations is a metal fabrication and manufacturing company specializing in laser cutting and rapid prototyping. Our sister company, Aluma Flowers, makes decorative flowers from aluminum. We are a young company that is growing fast and are looking to add to our talented team.
General Job Duties:
- Operate a Mitsubishi Diamond 150 US ton 6-axis hybrid press brake
- Be able to confirms part dimensions and adjust brake parameters as needed
- Work with a high standard of quality and consistency to keep scrap rates as low as possible
- Maintain equipment per the required maintenance schedules
- Ensure customer orders are completed on time and that quality standards and targets are met
- Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts for accuracy and quality (0.005" to 0.030" typical tolerances)
- Ability to measure using calipers, pin gauges, and height stands
- Complete First Article Inspection forms
- Forklift operation
- Packaging/Shipping
- Assist other employees as necessary with duties such as de-nesting laser cut parts, deburring, assembly, minor machining such as tapping, countersinking, etc.
Qualifications:
- Direct press brake operating experience (Please note: MUST have recent experience with operating a CNC press brake - this is not an entry level position. Do not apply if you have not operated a CNC press brake in the last year.)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Adaptability - we are a job shop so sudden rush jobs are common
- Proficient with power tools including cutters and grinders
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, push, pull and carry
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ability to work in an environment that can be loud
- Ability to work at a fast-pace while maintaining a high level of safety
Additional Information:
- Pay is based on experience and technical abilities. Candidates will be required to bend a test part to display proficiency and experience. The more direct press brake experience you demonstrate, the more you can get paid. The high end of the pay range would be awarded to someone with good press brake theory (understanding tooling setups, how to avoid collisions with dies punches, correcting leg lengths, etc.). If you can be shown how to operate the brake and then be able to bend accurate parts and measure them properly, you will get paid the highest wage possible!
- Must be comfortable with dogs. Our shop is dog friendly and dogs will frequently be in the shop and hanging around the office area.
