What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman/Crew Lead position at Dynamic Metals, Inc.?
Dynamic Metals, Inc. was founded in 2012. Our company specializes in Steel Erection and Welding. In June of 2020, DMI earned the highly coveted American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Certified Steel Erector (CSE).
We are licensed, bonded and insured in multiple states, and have completed projects in WA, ID, OR, MT, UT, TX and AK.
**TRAVEL IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.** Please read position details carefully.
We are currently seeking multiple candidates for the following position:
- Foreman/Project lead
Desired combination of skills and knowledge include, but are not limited to:
- Lead a crew of 3-15 employees.
- Erect, install, bolt, join, etc. structural steel components
- Operate AWPs (Ariel Work Platform), forklift & other material handling equipment
- Use of manual, power & pneumatic tools
- Interpret measurement tools, e.g. tape measure, protractor
- Proficient blueprint reading & layout
- Construction health & safety procedures
- Welding, cutting & fabrication
Pay: DOE
Work Experience & Duties:
- Print/layout reading and interpretation required.
- Ability to lead a crew of 3-15 ironworkers and hold them accountable for job performance & safety.
- Maintain daily reports of all work performed, employees and hours on job(s).
- Understanding of project contracts and the scope we cover for said project.
- Delegate job duties to crew members.
- Steel erection (ironworker), which includes erect, install, joining, bolting of structural steel components.
- Understand and execute a construction schedule.
- Meet project deadlines, including the ability to pivot from one task, or job, to the next.
Travel:
- Travel will be required, including utilizing a company vehicle and taking flights, as we regularly perform projects outside of Washington state.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record as you will be driving a company vehicle.
- Travel pay, lodging and per diem are provided.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily performed outdoors in a varying degree of weather conditions; rain, snow, high heat, etc.
- Most work is performed 'working at height' utilizing AWP (Aerial Work Platforms) and fall protection.
- Climbing, standing, bending, reaching, pulling & pushing for extended periods of time.
- Proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times.
