What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Quality Technician position at Dynamic Metals LLC?
Ensure organizational processes and the goods and services that result – comply with the requirements of standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001), as well as customer, regulatory, and the organization’s own requirements. Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements
- Periodically inspect and calibrate auditing tools
- Assist in development of audit plans, audit schedules – participate in audits
- Assist audit team in developing audit reports and follow-up
- Identify processes/situations where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement
- Report and document non-conformances, CARs, supporting Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficiently utilize measuring tools, Excel spreadsheets, ERP system, and Calibration Software (GagePak)
- Follow work orders instructions, visual aids, routers, and AS9100 processes
- Prepare Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for all products prior to shipment
- Verify initial product quality checks and complete all processing operations
- Update related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasks
- Lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects
- Demonstrate safe work habits
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner
- Maintain current, overall, and job specific trainings and requirements
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Detail oriented
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel / Word
- Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated
- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to use a variety of quality measuring equipment such as, but not limited to: height gages, calipers, micrometer, radius gages, etc.
- Knowledge of industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
- Minimum two (2) years of calibration experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and six (6) years of direct experience
