Operations Supervisor

Supervises daily operations, with a hands-on approach, by spending majority of the day on the production floor : supervising staff, organizing, and monitoring workflow. Maintain quality and safety standards; maintain records, equipment, and supplies.

Principal Responsibilities :

• Manage processes / improvements, coordinate with production planning, deal with complexity
• Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
• Process and manage staff time attendance records
• Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
• Execute production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting out production results
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
• Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure operation of equipment
• Provide manufacturing information by compiling, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
• Ensure employees follow all quality procedures and work instructions (WI), per the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Maintain current, overall, and job specific trainings and requirements
• Lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load / unload required objects
• Other duties as assigned
