Accounting Associate
We are looking for an Entry Level individual to join our team that will play a pivotal role in our finance team, contributing to the management of financial transactions, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring strict adherence to accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in accounting and finance, and will be able to work independently and as part of the team.
Responsibilities:
· Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
· Verify vendors accounts, prepare and process electronic payments and checks and confirm that the correct general ledger account codes are used.
· Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables/protect business against unintentional overpayment. Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Manage vendor relationships (negotiate payment terms, resolve disputes, ensure timely payments)
· Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation.
· Manage the accounts payable email inbox and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
· Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner.
· Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
· Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, cash application, and GL reconciliation.

Accounting Associate Qualifications:
· 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably with accounts payable and receivable is preferred
· High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
