Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and maintaining a welcoming environment for all. Insurance verification and authorization are daily tasks that can be taught on site, but experience is a plus.
Duties
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage phone systems, answering calls promptly and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the office calendar efficiently.
- Handle medical billing processes, including insurance verification and patient service inquiries.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks as required.
- Assist with office management duties, ensuring that the front desk area is organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical billing processes and understanding of insurance verification procedures.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and medical records management.
- Experience using phone systems effectively to manage incoming calls.
- Knowledge of practice management software is preferred.
- Strong 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry tasks.
- Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff clearly.
