We are currently seeking experienced and dynamic Technical Director’s to join our team. The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in event logistics and production management,
with the ability to lead a team and ensure the flawless execution of events from start to finish.
Job Description:
As a Technical Director, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and
execution of live events. You will manage the production process from initial concept to final
delivery, overseeing technical, creative, and logistical teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and coordination of all production-related activities for events.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to understand event requirements
and deliver high-quality productions.
• Oversee and manage event drawings, gear lists, production schedules, budgets, and
timelines.
• Coordinate with technical crews (AV, lighting, sound, stage management, etc.) to ensure
all technical aspects are executed to the highest standard.
• Supervise on-site production during events to ensure that everything runs on time and
within budget.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise before, during, or after the event.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to on-site.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure repeat business and
continued success.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the event industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of technical production (AV, lighting, sound, etc.).
• Ability to think creatively and problem-solve in high-pressure environments.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.
• Knowledge of budgeting, contracts, and logistics management.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software tools (e.g. Vectorworks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Production, or a related field. (Not required)
• Certifications in project management or event production are a plus.
• Experience with live event broadcasting or streaming services is a bonus.
