JOB LOCATION IS MARSHALL ISLANDS - KWAJALEIN AND ROI-NAMUR (Not Chesapeake, VA) - Tax Incentive Location
Electronics Technician I – Communications and Navigation
The Electronics Technician I must meet the qualification requirements and have at least three (3) years’ experience :
- Maintaining communications and navigation systems
- Using specialized test equipment and software-controlled diagnostics to isolate
- malfunctions
- Repairing of mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Tuning, aligning, and adjusting equipment
- Inspecting equipment at specified intervals determining operational status
- Perform operational checks
- Maintaining inspection and maintenance records
- Repair, adjust and align TACAN, DVOR, ILS and integrated system to pass recertification and periodic flight checks.
- Operation of standard test equipment and test sets for the associated CNS equipment
Requirements : Education :
High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from : Technical School, or
Class A or B military school in electronics for communications and navigation systems,
or three (3) year electronics apprentice program with experience with the listed system
types.
Basic Qualifications :
will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility
requirements for access to classified information). This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair,
troubleshooting or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
