POSITION CLASSIFICATION : Full-Time, Hourly, CBA Covered Position
Position Overview : The Mechanic Lead is a highly qualified and skilled aircraft mechanic with experience using diagrams, blueprints, and publications and applying technical knowledge to repair aircraft discrepancies efficiently while properly documenting all work performed.
Requirements
List of Duties :
- Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections and maintenance.
- Inspects and evaluates repairs and modifications to aircraft.
- Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining and resolving equipment malfunctions.
- Applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.
- Provides oversight and guidance to lower-level technicians performing aircraft repair and technical inspections.
- Ensures that work is carried out in accordance with applicable techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies.
- Provides expertise and input to development and implementation of quality control and ground safety programs.
- Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of work performed by lower level mechanics
- Performs other duties as required
REQUIRED Education and Experience :
Demonstrated proven and verifiable aviation experience including ethics, ability and professionalism of the highest standards are required for this position.
