OVERVIEW:
The Resiliency Prevention Coordinate will support the National Guard Bureau'sSuicide Prevention Program (SPP).
The NG SP Program mission is to foster a nationwide commitment to provide resources, network community partners, increase suicide intervention skills, and follow- up to reduce risks across the force. The NG has used the approach outlined within this TO to address the critical requirements of SP, and program advisement/management. The SP program services are aimed to lower risk and mitigate factors that could contribute to self-destructive behavior. These services provide essential support for commanders to help ensure the safety of Service Members and their families.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
- Hold a licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level
- Minimum of 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience or related field with a minimum of five
years experience in suicide prevention, resilience, or risk reduction programs. - Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and metric development.
- Must be proficient in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating suicide prevention and resilience training programs.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Teaching credentials preferred
- Experience in instructing and briefing skills, which demonstrate flexibility with executive level audiences.
