What are the responsibilities and job description for the Suicide Prevention Coordinator position at Dynamic Systems Technology?
The SPC within assigned state will:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with State Points of Contact (POCs)
- Implement program goals, objectives, and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate and conduct Suicide Prevention (SP) and Bystander Training for ARNG leaders and units that meet or supersede the requirements in AR 600-92, DA-PAM 60024, and ALARACT 057 -2014
- Provide Prevention Coordinator with a recommended Suicide Prevention risk mitigation plan to included recommended training
- Enter suicides, ideations and attempts into the Critical Incident Management System (CIMS) within 48 hours of receiving a report and shall update the record within 48hours of receiving additional information
- Serve as a member of the Commander’s Readiness Resiliency Council (CR2C)
- Establish and maintain relationships with community-based providers
- Keep the state resource catalog current
- Prepare an information briefing and participate in the Fatality Review Discussion (FRD) (Monthly) as required by State
- Provide required weekly/monthly reports to the RRC
- Assist RRC with Monthly Status reports
- Assist PC with training and coordination as needed
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in a Social Science or related field, and 3 – 5 years of practical experience in the Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention or Resiliency field.
Required Qualifications: Strong and professional instruction and briefing skills which demonstrate flexibility with various audiences. Ability to work a variable schedule as duties require, including some of the weekends that state units are conducting training.
