Dynamis is seeking a Junior Technical Editor to support a government client.
Responsibilities:
- Advising and assisting authors during the writing stage;
- Examining the organization, length, and tone of the material;
- Editing the text for grammar, clarity, syntax, format, style, and 508 compliance;
- Consulting on design and graphics;
- Ensuring that documents meet client requirements and guidelines; and
- Assisting in the preparation of material for printing.
Requirements:
- BA or BS degree, preferably in English or Journalism
- U.S. Citizenship
- 1-3 years of experience conducting technical writing / editing
- Experience with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Must be able to work on multiple taskers concurrently
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to obtain a DHS Headquarters Suitability
- Experience working with style guides preferred
