What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Communications Specialist position at Dynamis, Inc.?
Dynamis is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to support the execution and expansion of succession planning program by providing support to the contract team, the agency’s change management working group and the agency’s Succession Plan Governance Team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate multiple internal communications initiatives to keep program participants and audience members engaged and informed and aid in initiatives for the succession program implementation.
- Serve as an integral member of the ICE Succession Program team. Assist federal staff with writing and delivering broad internal communications.
- Plan, design, and execute a comprehensive communications campaign to convey accurate information about succession plan activities to multiple internal stakeholders
- Create a wide array of messaging for dissemination, including web content, newsletters, graphics, video, photo, presentations, social media, and communications and outreach plans.
- Manage the customer's internal blog, including creating and publishing blog posts and promoting them internally.
- Work with subject matter experts to facilitate message crafting to foster the widest possible audience understanding.
- Provide digital and hands-on support during multiple, in-person, training and development events throughout the year to be hosted by the client.
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- BA degree in a related field
- 5 years of relevant professional experience, including experience with strategic communications, writing and editing, and supervising teams/personnel
- Experience with communications planning and efforts, including message development, fact sheets, talking points, graphics, presentations, handouts, etc.
- Strong writing, grammar, and editing skills, including the ability to adhere to multiple style guides with great attention to detail, often due to limited timelines
- Familiarity with the use of Plain Language
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams (Teams Enterprise), and SharePoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to present to senior government clients
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
