Insurance Authorization Specialist
Dynamix Physical Therapy is seeking to fill an Insurance and Authorization Specialist role in support of our new Insurance Center. This new role is based in our corporate office in Milan and will primarily verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations when required, and complete the COB for new patients. As this role is a progression from our Customer Care Coordinator role, to be considered for this position you must have served for at least one year as a CCC, or have the equivalent of previous insurance and billing experience.
The IAS responsibilities are as follows but are not limited to :
- Verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations when required by the plan, and complete the COB for new patients
- Complete account entry into Prompt website as needed
- Scan documents into patient charts and files
- Obtain additional auth visits with carriers and work comp
- Maintain auth board in G-Drive
- Monitor and assist with delayed claims and denials
- Provide assistance to legal entities for prompt payments
- Open communication with referral sources on patient information and authorizations
- Maintain paperless goals and a neat work area
- Adhere to all HIPAA compliance guidelines
- Attend and participate in Training Camps
- Participate in company events
