Position Description :
The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for handling the company’s incoming and outgoing merchandise. They will load and unload items from delivery trucks, receive items into the system, move merchandise to appropriate staging locations, and prepare / pack outgoing shipments. The Warehouse Associate not only needs to be able to perform the basic warehouse and inventory functions but also has to create / invoice shipments in the system.
Primary Responsibilities :
Receiving
- Ability to identify PO’s to than log and scan into the system.
- Understand information on packing slips.
- Dynatech counting standards (scale count, weight count, and hand count)
- Procedure for handling inaccurate quantities (excess and short ships)
- Procedure for handling inbound BOL’s (Bill of Lading) and SDS’s (Safety Data Sheet).
- Identifying manufacturer lot numbers
- Assign container ID’s to items upon receipt and understand inventory locations / warehouse layout
- Procedure for damaged, missing, or broken items received from suppliers.
