Primary Responsibilities
- Install and align dies, punches, and other tooling based on job requirements and material specifications.
- Program and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, pressure) for optimal performance and accuracy.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders to understand part specifications, dimensions, and bending requirements.
- Ensure all necessary details are followed to meet production standards.
- Select, measure, and load metal sheets or other materials onto the brake press machine.
- Observe machine operation during production runs, adjusting settings to ensure accurate results.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the brake press machine to ensure its longevity and minimize downtime.
- Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining a high level of efficiency and product quality.
- Multi-task to perform other duties assigned by team leader and management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Essential
- High School Diploma / GED or higher-level education.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Basic math skills required.
- The ability to read a ruler, tape measure, caliper, and other required measurement equipment.
- Working knowledge of Brake Press programming and general assembly operations
- Must be forklift certified or obtain the certification upon hire.
