SAP PP with VC Consultant

Job Title : SAP PP (Production Planning) with VC (Variant Configuration) ConsultantLocation : Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas, and Mexico (Preferred : ability to travel across these locations)Duration : 1 year with possible extension Job Description We are seeking an experienced SAP PP (Production Planning) Consultant with VC (Variant Configuration) expertise to join our team. The consultant will play a key role in configuring and implementing SAP S / 4HANA to optimize production planning and variant configuration processes. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cross-module dependencies, and the ability to provide value-driven recommendations.Responsibilities1. SAP S / 4HANA Configuration & Implementation :

• Hands-on setup of SAP S / 4HANA for PP and VC modules.
• Customize the system to meet the unique requirements of discrete manufacturing processes.2. Manufacturing Process Expertise :
• Understand and optimize discrete manufacturing processes, including :
• High-mix, low-volume production.
• High-volume, low-mix production.
• Configured items manufacturing.3. Cross-Module Collaboration :
• Address dependencies between PP and other modules (PPDS, EWM, QM, etc.).
• Collaborate on issues with cross-track dependencies.4. Process and Functionality Advisory :
• Analyze business processes and recommend the most suitable functionalities.
• Proactively share relevant technological capabilities with the team.
• Provide suggestions and solutions aligned with SAP best practices.5. Reporting and Value Delivery :
• Identify and create reports commonly used by manufacturing teams.
• Explain the value of reports to stakeholders.6. Communication and Teamwork :
• Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical team members.
• Act as a knowledge resource for the team, ensuring smooth project execution.7. Best Practice Advocacy :
• Explain and implement SAP standard functionalities to achieve business goals.
• Advocate for the use of SAP best practices and provide value-driven insights.Required Skills & Experience
• SAP Expertise :
• Proven hands-on experience with SAP S / 4HANA PP and VC modules.
• Ability to configure the S / 4HANA environment tailored to manufacturing needs.
• Manufacturing Knowledge :
• Clear understanding of discrete manufacturing processes.
• Experience with high-mix / low-volume and high-volume / low-mix production.
• Cross-Module Understanding :
• Familiarity with dependencies between SAP modules (PPDS, EWM, QM).
• Knowledge of digital manufacturing processes (preferred but not mandatory).
• Problem-Solving Skills :
• Proactive in providing technology-driven solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to align functionality with process needs.
• Reporting Knowledge :
• Ability to create and interpret manufacturing-related reports.
• Demonstrate the value and usability of reports in decision-making.
• Communication :
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
