Key Responsibilities:
Onsite Consulting & Client Rollout
Provide onsite SAP Transportation Management (TM) consulting across multiple client locations (Salisbury, NC; HighPoint, NC; Chatsworth, CA; Englewood, CO).
Strategic Consulting: Lead and advise on best practices for the successful US rollout of SAP TM across the client’s operations.
Develop and implement solutions that optimize transportation operations within SAP TM, ensuring the system functions effectively and efficiently across locations.
Transportation Operations Management
Manage and coordinate transportation operations at each client location, ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Provide problem-solving support at each location, addressing any issues related to transportation management and the use of SAP TM.
Collaborative Stakeholder Management
Work closely with the client’s key stakeholders (operations teams, logistics managers, IT staff) to align transportation management goals with overall business objectives.
Ensure that SAP TM implementations meet client expectations for operational efficiency and integration with other enterprise systems.
Testing & Support
During the testing phase, engage in full-time travel to client locations to support system testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of any technical or operational issues.
Ensure successful user acceptance testing (UAT) and configuration testing to guarantee the system’s readiness for go-live.
Ongoing Support & Issue Resolution
Offer post-implementation support and address any issues arising in the field, ensuring that the client’s transportation management operations run smoothly in the long term.
Additional Details:
Project Duration: Initially 6 months, with a possibility of extending the project by 3 months.
Travel Requirements: Travel is required to all four client locations on alternate weeks, with full-time travel during the testing phase.
No International Travel: This role requires domestic travel only.
Qualifications:Experience:
5 years of experience in SAP Transportation Management (TM) consulting.
Proven track record of onsite consulting and delivering successful SAP TM implementations, particularly in transportation operations.
Experience in leading or contributing to US rollout projects for SAP TM solutions.
Skills:
Strong understanding of SAP TM modules, processes, and integration capabilities with other SAP modules (like SAP SD, SAP MM, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with troubleshooting SAP TM configurations.
Ability to manage client expectations while delivering high-quality, timely solutions.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, able to effectively work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A self-starter, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple locations and tasks concurrently.
