What You'll Do
As the Transportation Supervisor, you will supervise Dyno Nobel Transportation Inc. (DNTI) terminal, shop, and activities of site employees. You will be responsible for serving all internal/external customers in a professional, safe, and efficient manner consistent with Dyno Nobel Americas and DNTI's mission, vision, and values. Other duties include:
- Uphold site financial reporting including budget and monthly reconciliations.
- Operate and supervise terminal.
- Maintain professional and effective leadership, conflict resolutions among drivers, customers and management.
- Direct daily assignments of the drivers and truck fleet including dispatch, route and equipment usage planning, and fuel management.
- Maintain maintenance records and vehicle inspection reports per Department of Transportation requirements.
- Act as company liaison for customers to sell the services of DNTI.
- Responsible for hiring, termination and performance decisions regarding personnel.
- Responsible for compliance and training employees on DOT, FMCSR, MSHA regulations and company safety practices and policies.
- Must be on call 24 hours a day to respond and make decisions in emergency situations.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or applicable field preferred or equivalent time/experience in job with proven skills
- 5 years' experience in trucking/logistics industry.
- 5 years supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Materials, DOT, MSHA, and OSHA regulations.
- Class A CDL - Valid Medical Card with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements.
- Experience with transportation software programs (TMW, RoadNet, Mcloud, or Manugistics) required.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
