What You’ll Do
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will provide technical support to facilitate the execution of equipment maintenance strategies. You will initiate improvement in equipment strategies and implement modified strategies. Other duties will include:
Assist in the co-ordination and planning of major outages. Assist in the development of execution tools and work management processes. Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5’s, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.) Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations. Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values. Provide technical support to the Mechanical Maintenance Team To complete small projects (<$1m) and to provide justified briefs to the Project Team for larger jobs. Develop maintenance execution tools. Initiate maintenance strategy improvement activities. Participate in maintenance strategy improvement activities such as RCA. Effective influence of internal customers and peers to deliver acceptable solutions to maintenance problems. Recommend the implementation, assist in development of maintenance and manufacturing strategies. Interact closely with the Reliability Group at Nitrogen Site 9 / 80 schedule (every other Friday off)

What You’ll Do

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years experience in a plant-based role. Chemical manufacturing preferred.
- High level of technical knowledge with an emphasis upon sustainable and cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- SAP experience preferred
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
