What You’ll Do
We are seeking a skilled mechanical technician to support the relocation of our current plant in Lehi, Utah to the newly constructed plant located in Tooele, Utah.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all mechanical equipment and systems are safely and effectively moved to the new facility.
Other duties include :
- Assist in packing, moving and unpacking laboratory and industrial supplies.
- Disassemble, transport, and reassemble mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to ensure they are functioning properly before and after relocation.
- Assist in the day-to-day activities in an industrial chemical facility including manufacturing emulsion, working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves and heated lines.
This involves hauling hoses between locations, interacting with steam cleaning, hot solutions and various chemicals.
- Use of a forklift to transport palletized raw materials (e.g., 55 gal drums, super sacks), equipment and totes between various locations.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical issues that may arise during the move.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient transition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and incidents during the relocation.
What We're Looking For :
- Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment
- Have a mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment operation and functionality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in outdoor conditions.
