What You’ll Do
As the Tax Intern, you will assist the Sales Tax Accountant with day to day responsibilities as well as research projects, audits, filing returns and other projects as assigned. Intern may assist other members of the tax department with projects as needed. Some duties will include :
- Record, receive, prepare, and / or verify materials of moderate complexity to support supervisor and business operations in order to meet business, accounting, and customer service objectives.
- Operate one or more office machines in order to complete assigned work timely and efficiently.
- Handle telephone and in person requests personally in order to support supervisor and other personnel in a timely and efficient manner.
- Select proper procedures to follow in order to properly perform functions.
- Perform necessary functions of moderate to high complexity in proper sequence to complete tasks to support supervisor and business operations in order to meet business, accounting, and customer service objectives.
- Comply with applicable regulatory health and safety policies and practices in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of all employees, company assets, environment and regulatory compliance.
- May prepare reports from work performed in order to support supervisor or other personnel.
- May substitute, assist, or check another employee’s work in order to ensure timely completion of quality tasks.
- May provide information to others either inside or outside the organization in order to support supervisor or other personnel.
