Associate Director - Vector Production
A seasoned leader is sought after to spearhead Dyno Therapeutics' AAV production endeavors. This individual will play a pivotal role in optimizing and scaling processes to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end vector production process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
- Analyze run/batch summaries to inform production decisions and optimize process performance.
- Develop a strategy to ensure Dyno's vector production capabilities align with the organization's broader capsid engineering strategy.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team, including direct reports.
- Collaborate to drive process optimization across upstream (suspension culture or adherent bioreactors) and downstream (depth filtration, TFF, FPLC) processes.
Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. in bioprocessing, chemical engineering, vector biology, or biological sciences.
- 8-10 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharma industry or 5 years of relevant experience in AAV manufacturing.
- Experience running end-to-end vector production processes at scale, either in suspension culture at 50 L or medium/large-scale adherent bioreactors.
- Proven expertise managing upstream (stir-tanks/rockers if in suspension) and downstream (depth filtration, TFF, FPLC, fill/finish) processes of AAV production.
- Well-developed background in process optimization.
- Experience leading a team of at least three direct reports.
