Job Title: SMT ASSEMBLER (Solder Technician)
Supervisor: SMT Lead
Work Hours: Fulltime, 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday
Position Summary: Perform a wide range of soldering and testing tasks on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA).
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform soldering of PTH and fine SMT components
- Follows proper Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures at all times
- Use a variety of hand tools to perform electronic component assembly and testing
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with manufacturing process instructions, engineering documentation or verbal instructions
- Good manual dexterity with the ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to meet IPC-610 class II workmanship standards
- Ability to rework PTH and SMT assemblies
- Ability to go from one task to another very quickly
- A keen eye for quality and attention to detail when inspecting parts
Experience & Education:
- Must read and speak English
- Minimum of 1 year soldering experience
- Knowledge of ESD handling procedures
- Component identification skills for both PTH and SMT components
- Ability to differentiate polarized and non-polarized components
- Familiarity with calibrated tools and equipment
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610E and IPC-J-STD-001
- Basic computer skills
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
