Job Title: Software Engineering Intern (Temporary)
Reports to: Software Engineering Manager
Hours of Work: Part-time to Full-time, depending on business needs, Monday-Friday
Wage: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, non-exempt
The actual pay may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
Location: On-site in Canby, Oregon
Position Summary: As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be part of a collaborative team of developers focused on creating the best avionics and aircraft systems for light aircraft. You will perform entry-level engineering tasks, support senior engineering staff, and gain experience and familiarization with Dynon Avionics products.

- Iteratively design & develop modern C with pragmatic application of industry best practices.
- Understand a problem at a high level and drill into the depth and breadth of complexity beneath it.
- Evaluate and make pragmatic trade-offs between cost, schedule, and functionality.
- About how innovative usage of existing and evolving programming languages can provide effective solutions to the engineering problems you face in your daily software development.
- About how recreational aviators see their world and rely on us to maximize their enjoyment and maintain their safety.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and concepts.
- Proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- A 4-year or master’s degree in computer science or related major
- Must be 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States
