Position Responsibilities:
Aircraft Assembly (Vashon Ranger) in Arlington, Washington
- Assemble and install structural components, systems, and parts of the Vashon Ranger airplane according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform checks and quality control inspections to ensure all components meet safety and performance standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for assembly.
- Install wiring and control systems, ensuring proper integration and function.
- Collaborate with team members and engineering staff to resolve issues during the assembly process.
- Assemble Mammoth Overland trailers, including frame, suspension, axles, electrical systems, and exterior components.
- Follow assembly instructions and blueprints to ensure proper alignment and function of trailer systems.
- Inspect parts and components for defects, ensuring they meet the required standards before installation.
- Perform final quality checks on finished trailers, ensuring all systems are operational and meet customer requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations during assembly operations.
- Conduct proper maintenance and care of tools and machinery used in assembly.
- Maintain clean, organized workstations, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with various hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
- Experience with aircraft assembly, trailer manufacturing, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and report issues or improvements.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in assembly processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in mechanical, aerospace, or industrial technology is a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in assembly mechanics, preferably in aerospace or trailer manufacturing.
- Must be 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel on a cement floor for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
