Pay: $65K - $70K annually
Shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm CST
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Accounting Management:
- Meet deadlines as outlined in the monthly close calendar.
- Prepare and distribute the daily cash position.
- Perform bank reconciliations for non-primary bank accounts.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Manage general ledger entries and ensure accuracy.
- Assist with accounts payable processes and billing.
- Participate in special projects and provide support as needed.
- Handle sales tax and income tax return preparation and filing.
- Prepare biweekly payroll, including expense reimbursements, commissions, PTO payouts, and other ad hoc payments.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on payroll-related issues for new hires and terminations.
- Ensure accurate garnishment and pro-rata PTO setup.
- Verify 401k contributions and loan payments against VOYA reports.
- Maintain accurate system records with proper projects and tasks for employees.
- Conduct new hire training on time entry.
- Prepare and submit periodic state forms related to payroll information.
- Prepare and submit quarterly tax reports not supported by the payroll vendor.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries related to payroll.
- Ensure the payroll vendor provides quarterly tax packages.
- Support 401k annual census, 401k annual audit, and workers' compensation audits.
- High School Diploma required.
- 3 -5 years of accounting experience required.
- Two-Year Degree preferred.
- Experience in a Professional Services or Managed Services environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL, SAP, Oracle, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Paylocity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prefer someone in CST.
- Highly motivated and organized individual.
- Ability to work independently within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
