Description
We are seeking a Full Time Construction Administration Technician in our Omaha office. The ideal candidate for this team will be a self-starter who can communicate effectively with clients and team members. This individual will have a proven track record of Construction Observation. Additionally, this candidate will:
- Observe, collect, and report the progress of current projects such as sanitary sewers, storm sewers, and paving operations
- Coordinate material testing with outside vendors for soil densities, concrete properties, and other requirements as needed
- Responsible for the completion of Working Day Reports and Daily Diaries
- Demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors on project sites
- Work outdoors in both developed and natural environments
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Two years of experience with construction observation
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel
- Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively work independently
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with longer hours while maintaining concentration in varying weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to work in both the field and office settings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk and stand frequently
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record & reliable vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s and/or Bachelors Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or related
- Five years’ experience with Construction Observation
