Description
We are seeking a Full-Time Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can communicate effectively with clients and team members. Additionally, this candidate will:
- Work closely with internal staff on design projects, design plans, and specifications for urban and rural public/private roadways, which may include grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and sanitary sewers.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and design-related documents with the supervision and guidance of the project manager.
- Work with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities to identify appropriate design criteria and limitation
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that meets the NCEES Engineering Education Standard
- Six years of progressively responsible experience
- Registered Professional Civil Engineer
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office & MicroStation including OpenRoads/GEOPAK software
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results.
- Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ten years of progressively responsible experience
- Registered Professional Civil Engineer License in the State of Nebraska
- Knowledge of Nebraska Department of Transportation roadway requirements
