Technical Training and Support Manager – Coatings & Maintenance

Job Overview
We are looking for a Technical Training and Support Manager to lead training initiatives and provide expert technical assistance in protective coatings, corrosion control, and maintenance applications. This role requires hands-on knowledge of application techniques, troubleshooting, and industry best practices to support a global network of managers, distributors, and end users.
Based at our Long Island, NY headquarters, this position involves occasional domestic and international travel.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Development
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on protective coatings, surface preparation, and application methods.
- Develop instructional materials, technical guides, and presentations for various stakeholders.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide expert technical assistance to distributors, customers, and internal teams.
- Offer on-site and remote field support to troubleshoot application and product-related issues.
Industry Knowledge & Innovation
- Stay up to date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in coatings and maintenance.
- Collaborate with R&D, sales, and engineering teams to enhance product knowledge and user experience.
Engagement & Representation
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and professional development activities.
- Act as a technical liaison between the company and industry professionals.
Qualifications & SkillsExperience & Education
- 5–10 years of experience in facilities, equipment repair, or industrial maintenance.
- Strong expertise in protective coatings, corrosion prevention, and application techniques.
- A technical degree in a related field is preferred.
Certifications & Technical Knowledge
- Certification in NACE or AMPP is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for training delivery and technical documentation.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately once per quarter).
