Structural Designer

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to work alongside senior engineers in designing and developing institutional and commercial construction projects. This role involves conducting structural analysis, creating technical designs, and preparing documentation to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective building solutions. The ideal candidate will coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients throughout the design and construction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for institutional, retail, and commercial buildings.
• Perform structural calculations and prepare detailed construction documents.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, engineers, suppliers, and regulatory officials to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct structural assessments, including load calculations and the design of lateral and gravity systems.
• Manage project timelines, client expectations, and budget considerations.
• Provide construction-phase support by reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and coordinating with project teams.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8 to 15 years of structural design experience within the United States.

Licensing & Technical Skills

• Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain it within six months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
• Familiarity with RISA and other structural analysis software (preferred).
• Experience with Revit (preferred).

Additional Skills

• Strong communication and project management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
