Job description
Role: Senior Accountant
Location: Fairfax, VT/Onsite
Job Type: Fulltime/Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes information by developing or utilizing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Assist in the development and modification of localized policies and procedures.
- Prepares the month end bank reconciliations and balance sheet account roll-forward schedules
- Assists in project specific analytical work on an as needed basis.
- Works with Operations Accounting Manager and operations personnel to ensure all data and communications are processed in a timely manner.
- Assists the Controller with the preparation of year-end financial statement audit information and quarterly bank audits.
- Coverage for the Operations Cost Manager on activation for new inventory part numbers, establishing system costs based on information from Purchasing, and rolling standard costs on inventory parts.
- Accumulates the month end general accrual information to properly account for period expenses.
- Assists Controller in answering GL coding questions proposed by accounts payable personnel.
- Provides the monthly sales commission report to the Sales Manager and Financial Analyst for review and approval.
- Prepares the monthly fixed asset depreciation and tooling schedules and maintains appropriate invoice support for additions
- Prepares the monthly corporate credit card reconciliations and accounts payable vouchers for the Vermont location.
- Maintenance of fixed asset records.
- Accumulation of information and finance contact for annual budget preparations.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Business field required.
- A minimum of 3 years of practical accounting experience within a general ledger system.
- Auditing and Public Accounting experience would be plus.
- Strong Excel skills and understanding of corporate information systems.
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
