Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive System Evaluation
· Analyze the electrical distribution network to identify opportunities for improvement.
· Design and execute a forward-looking four-year maintenance and construction strategy.
System Optimization Collaboration
· Partner with team members to assess load flow, short circuit conditions, and relay protection schemes.
· Perform advanced studies, including voltage regulation, arc flash analysis, and system coordination.
Future-Proofing Infrastructure
· Anticipate system demands by planning upgrades that accommodate growth and higher energy loads.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
· Technical Expertise: Proficient in software for spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
· Math Proficiency: Strong foundation in trigonometry, calculus, algebra, and analytical geometry.
· Industry Tools: Experience with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories products or similar technologies is a plus.
· Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with NERC and FERC standards; SPP experience is advantageous.
· Personal Attributes: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and clear communication.
· Licensing: Valid New Mexico driver's license; compliance with drug testing policies required.

Pay: $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
