Electrical Estimator

Job Description:

Role: Senior Electrical Estimator
Location: North Reading, MA/Onsite

Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications. bid documents and other relevant documents to identify what is needed to create and accurate bid proposal.
• Perform accurate take-offs based off of the plans and drawings.
• Attend site visits and walk through as required.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Solicit material/equipment quotes from vendors.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations throughout the estimating process.
• Prepare all necessary bid documents such as submittals, RFIs, scope of work, etc.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction estimating, with a focus on electrical projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly ConEst or similar tools.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and clients.
• Familiarity with NEC regulations and standards applicable to electrical installations.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in price calculations and contract terms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
