Job Description:
Role: Electrical Estimator
Location: Littleton, MA
Job type: Full Time/Permanent
Responsibilities:
· Manage the entire electrical estimating process from beginning to end, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete estimates.
· Perform accurate takeoffs applying labor, material, and equipment to the estimates.
· Review and understand project bid documents including plans, specifications, all related addenda, and other relative correspondence as it relates to your assigned estimate.
· Review and incorporate historical data from prior projects, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc., into unit and man-hour figures.
· Ensure that estimates are complete, well-organized, and ready for review before the given deadline.
· Prepare and submit proposals and bids to clients.
· Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
· Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.
· Evaluate and negotiate vendor and subcontractor bids.
· Participate in project meetings to provide input and support to the project team.
· Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of electrical costs and pricing.
Qualifications:
· Motivated problem solver with a focus on customer service with three to five (3-5) years of relevant electrical estimating experience.
· Must thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with strict deadlines.
· Ability to handle projects that range in value from $10K to $15M.
· Be able to provide conceptual budgets, plans/specs, and design/build estimates.
· Must be proactive and possess time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to complete multiple estimates and proposals at one time.
· Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
· Experience in commercial, industrial, and large multi-family residential projects.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Conest & Surecount preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
