What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Worker position at E.C. Styberg Engineering Company?
As a member of the service department, you will be responsible for providing secondary plant operations for the entire plant, which could include, washing parts, oiling machines, tumbling/deburring parts, occasionally driving forklifts, etc.
Responsibilities include:
- Tumble and deburr parts to produce a micro finish
- Load/unload parts into the parts washer for cleaning and/or an Acid Dip bath by operating hoists
- Perform rust checks on parts
- Pack and load parts into containers for delivery following order specifications and ensuring the correct quantity of parts and overall quality
- Check the accuracy of shipments and receiving of products, cross-checking receipts, and purchase orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records and process paperwork from vendors/customers
- Assist in maintaining machines by lubricating a variety of equipment including motors, conveyors, and pumps.
- Operating a forklift as needed to collect and deliver materials and parts between various departments
Qualifications:
- Seeking candidates with a minimum of 6 months of previous forklift operation experience

- Ability to work 10 hours in a physically active and challenging environment that includes but is not limited to; lifting up to 65lb parts continuously, walking, standing, lifting, twisting, turning, pushing, pulling

Key Information:
- Base pay will vary based on experience and will range between $15/hr. - $18/hr. potential to earn piece-rate on top of your hourly rate of pay rate (41-48 hours earns time and a half, 49 double time)
- Train on 1st shift – 5 AM – 3 PM (Monday – Friday) & 5 AM – 10 AM on Saturdays – will move to 2nd shift after 90 days 3 PM - 1 AM (Monday - Friday) and a mid-shift on Saturday 10 AM - 3 PM
