Description
E&E Foods is launching a search for a Baker for the 2025 Bristol Bay Season; work period is May through August. The Baker is responsible for preparing and baking food according to the Facility Chefs production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The individual should safely handle knives and equipment such as grill, fryers, ovens, etc..
Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Baker and prepares a variety of baked goods and breads according to the Facility Chefs production guidelines and standardized recipes
· Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
· Prepare Ingredients by weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
· Safely utilizes a variety of utensils including knifes
· Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc..
·· Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to Facility Chefs guidelines
· Properly store foods by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
· Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
· Maintain excellent rapport with workforce, management, co-workers, etc.
· Adhere to Big Creek Fisheries safety policies, drug Policies, and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
· Ensure security of company assets
· Complete other duties and tasks as assigned by Facility Chef
The work environment is weather dependent: ranging from warm and sunny to cold, windy and wet. Working outdoors in varying weather is a given in this position.
Hours of Work:
While we can't guarantee any definite number of hours, this position must be able to sustain a 12 hour per day/7 days a week work schedule for the duration of the season.
Living Conditions:
Room & board provided. The housing is dormitory style and both meals and housing are provided at no charge if you complete your work agreement.
Salary & Benefits:
· The starting wage is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour straight time and $27.00 to $30.00 per hour overtime.
· Round trip airfare from largest city near point of hire to plan location in Alaska.
· Free room and board
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 8 to 10, years baking experience PREFERRED
· Safe Serve certification preferred
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision required
· Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
· Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
