e&e is seeking a Systems Administrator for an onsite position in Harrisburg, PA.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain VMware infrastructure to ensure high availability, stability, and performance.
- Support cloud infrastructure environments (Azure, AWS, or other platforms) to enhance scalability and security.
- Oversee core Microsoft infrastructure components such as Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, Microsoft SQL, Exchange, and patch management tools.
- Implement and support backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to evaluate and deploy technologies that enhance IT operations.
- Provide Tier II and Tier III technical support, including troubleshooting of servers, applications, and system performance issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, standard procedures, and technical best practices.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in a technology-related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and virtualization (VMware required).
- Strong proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft infrastructure services.
- Proven experience working with VMware vSphere in virtualized server environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus, though not required.
- Working knowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and patch management.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP) is helpful, but not a primary focus.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
